1. Data processed by the extension

After the user explicitly activates the extension on a product page, the extension may read visible product information from the current page. This may include:

• product title;
• product price;
• product images;
• product specifications;
• product variants;
• product descriptions; and
• other visible product page content.

This information is processed to provide the extension's core functionality: organizing visible product page information into structured data for the user.

2. No developer-side data collection

Scheer Product Extractor does not provide a centralized data collection service. The extension developer does not receive, store, sell, rent, transfer, or share user data.

The extension does not send product page content to any server controlled by the extension developer.

3. User-configured backend service

The extension may allow users to configure their own backend endpoint. If a user configures such an endpoint and actively initiates a sync action, the extension may send the structured product information to the endpoint specified by that user.

The backend service is provided, managed, and controlled by the user. The extension developer does not control, receive, or store the data sent to a user-configured endpoint.

4. Local storage

The extension may store configuration data locally in the user's browser, such as:

• user-configured backend endpoint settings;
• field mapping preferences;
• export preferences; and
• basic extension settings.

Local storage is used only to provide the extension's core functionality. It is not used to collect browsing history, user identity information, or data unrelated to the extension's stated purpose.

5. Browsing activity

The extension does not track browsing history, does not continuously monitor browsing activity, does not automatically scan websites in the background, and does not access pages that the user has not opened and activated the extension on.

6. Data use

Data processed by the extension is used only for app functionality: helping users organize visible product information from the current product page and, if configured by the user, sending the structured result to the user's own backend service.

The extension does not use data for advertising, retargeting, interest-based profiling, market research, credit evaluation, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose.

7. Data sharing

The extension developer does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties.

Data is transmitted only when the user configures their own backend endpoint and actively initiates a sync action. In that case, the data is sent to the endpoint specified by the user.

8. Security

Users are responsible for configuring and maintaining their own backend service. When using the sync feature, users should configure a secure HTTPS endpoint.

The extension does not provide, operate, or control the user's backend service.

9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

The use of information processed by this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
